The Power of Positive Thinking
Did you know that our physical bodies are made healthier by the thoughts we think? Many of us do not realize how deeply our minds connect to our overall health and even the realities we live. But there is scientific proof that shows the tangible effects that thinking positively has on our bodies and in our lives.
Everything in the world is a frequency or vibration. This is also called energy.
Back when Newtonian Physics reigned supreme, most scientists believed that all problems of the body were caused by something physical. Scientists would gradually break down the different components of the body until they could determine what was wrong. This attempt to explain all biological processes by the physical laws that chemists and physicists used to interpret inanimate matter is called reductionism.
So what does this look like in plain terms?
Someone comes into the doctor's office with a sickness. Doctors dissect the body looking for the cause of the problem. They discover a physical/material cause (i.e. stomach ulcers). Doctor's administer a drug to soothe the stomach pains.
The above example is rooted in treating the body based on matter alone. This is not wrong, but it isn't the entire story.
Humans are material and spiritual
Until 1895, the atom was thought to be the smallest unit of ordinary matter. But in that year, scientists found that atoms could be broken down into subatomic particles called protons, electrons, and neutrons. And inside of these subatomic particles were nano-sized tornados of energy!
This discovery forced science to formally explore the energy field of human existence, something that had been banned by the church ever since the 16th century. The 20th century ushered in new discoveries under the title quantum mechanics, which is the study of energy and its effect on the material world through the energetic field.
Good Vibes and Bad Vibes
Scientists found that energy affects energy through a process called entanglement. We've all experienced this before. Think of when we go to friends' homes and the house is packed with inviting love vibes. Or perhaps you were home alone in pure contentment until your spouse returns from work in a huff. When they enter the room, you feel the heavy discomfort of something off even though you may not know exactly what's wrong.
These two scenarios of good and bad vibes describe how energies entangle, or influence each other. In quantum mechanics, good vibes is called constructive interference and bad vibes is called deconstructive interference. So when two people on the same wavelength come together, the energy grows harmoniously. But when two people that are not on the same page come together, the energy flatlines to zero! (Insert Kendrick Lamar's B*^%!, Don't Kill My Vibe).
Now let's exchange people for thoughts, feelings, and emotions to observe the effects on energy. Everything in the universe has energy or a frequency including our thoughts and emotions.
Take a look at the chart and think about those emotions. What emotions do you normally roll around in? How high are you vibrating? How many people or things are you letting into you creative space that lift you up? Are these people or things bringing you good thoughts or bad?
Applying What Works
To tie back into the introduction of this post, the lower vibrating emotions are also tied to sickness or ill states of being in general. Speaking from experience as a cancer survivor, I can tell you that harboring unforgiveness of self and resentment led to disease and almost death. I used a holistic approach to get me back to 100 percent (that is a combination of Western and Eastern medicine). A big piece of my cure was perfecting my thought life. When I got sick, I was feeding myself thoughts and beliefs that didn't add to energetic harmony. In fact, these thoughts were vibrating so low on the chart that it sent me wallowing in the pits of shame.
I turned this around by changing my focus to positive relationships, entertainment, and beliefs about myself that brought me higher up the vibrational scale, inch by inch. I sought after what made me feel good and no longer tolerated substandard treatment that tore me down. As a result, my health improved, my relationships got stronger, I started regaining pieces of the real me again and the chemo brain fog cleared up to reveal that life is truly for us all. Now that I know how deep the mindbody connection is, I will never be that type of sick again. Managing my thought life liberated my entire life!
Make Hope Go Viral
This is why I created this site. We all live in a world of high points and low points, small everyday struggles and massive blows to humanity. Our energy is entangled in all sorts of vibes in our energy field called life. Along with turning off the news, keeping a tight circle of positive people, and meditating on the good things in my life, I like to dress in apparel that raises my vibration. This is how I add to my constructive interference and hopefully I'm positively affecting others in the process.

Very powerful and enlightening
I loved this! I can relate. I speak peace into my day everyday. I only have issues when I have premonitions! I’ve dealt with them my entire life. I don’t try to fight them anymore. Sometimes they throw my vibe off. I take off walking just to calm me. Sometimes I cry. At times they do kill my vibe. Now I just let it be. The challenge is that I cannot control these premonitions. I will continue to think positive no matter what! I follow my steps to cope. Meditation is my remedy now. Someone mentioned the word, discernment. Christian discernment or secular. I will research this more.
